Performance Tester (Aurora, CO)
Quality Assurance Software Tester for immediate position. We’re looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, strong exploratory testing skills, and the ability to plan and execute test sessions and test cases using a context-driven test approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Write performance approaches, statements of work, timelines, test plans, and test reports
* Conduct performance testing w/ HP’s Loadrunner and O/S application JMeter
* Test the performance of various web sites, web applications, desktop applications, and client-server systems.
* Dynamically adapt test approach to the context of each project.
* Develop and execute performance tests, document results.
* Create clear, eloquent performance test reports.
* Work with the client and internal project teams to ensure timely performance test execution according to project schedules.
STATUS: Full Time Employment
WORK FREQUENCY: 40+ hrs/week
SALARY: Negotiable (to be noted by applicant)
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1 -2+ years of experience with HP’s Loadrunner
* 1-2+ years of performance testing experience
* Familiarity with Windows, Unix, and Linux performance measurements
* Familiarity with http and http based protocols
* Familiarity with web-based session management
* A curious and skeptical tester’s mindset
* 1-2 years software testing experience on desktop applications, web applications, and web sites
* Proven ability to follow direction, take ownership of assignments, and work well with others
* Proven ability to work independently and remotely with little to no supervision
* Proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people at various levels
* Proven ability to write clearly
* Proven ability to operate in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information
* Detail oriented
* Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple activities and projects at the same time
* Strong Windows and Internet knowledge
* General computer/networking knowledge
* Sense of humor
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Familiarity with a variety of bug tracking or test management tools a plus
* Mac OS X and/or Linux experience a plus
* Knowledge of RDBMS a plus
* Additional test tool knowledge a plus
